Perisher Ski Resort & Deane's Transit Group Raise help raise $5540 for the National Zoo & Aquarium's  partnership with the Snow Leopard Trust.

In early June 2010 Perisher Ski Resort arranged for 10 tonnes of snow to be delivered the National Zoo & Aquarium in Canberra, Australia to be placed in the enclosures of the Snow Leopards, Brown Bears, and Monkeys. Much fun was had by the zoo residents who were not used to seeing white stuff on the ground!  In addition to a snowy home for the animals, the National Zoo & Aquarium created a kids snow playground for snowman building and the occasional snowball fight.  

Perisher and the Zoo worked together to raise conservation funding  for the International Snow Leopard Trust. As part of the fundraiser Deane's Transit Group promoted three Snow trips to Perisher Ski Resort at generously discounted prices, with all profits going to the Snow Leopard Trust.

The event was fantastically successful due to the generosity of Perisher Ski Resort, Deane's Transit Group and the staff at the National Zoo & Aquarium. A total of $5540 was raised for the Snow Leopard Trust thanks to the dedication and passion of Shelley Russell from Canberra's National Zoo and Aquarium and these amazing partners.
