The most interesting movements we’re seeing this week are from Aztai and Saikhan. Saikhan has been moving around Aztai’s home range since August 21st and it appears that Aztai is “trailing” him. It’s impossible to tell how often the cats have direct encounters because the timing at which the collars collect locations for the two cats is several hours or more apart. However, the locations collected for Aztai and Saikhan on August 23rd at 1:29 p.m. and 3:31 p.m., respectively, were just 720 meters apart. Itgel has been at the same location since August 27th, so hopefully that means he had another successful hunt and is eating.
